The Laurel Redevelopment Corporation (LRC) continues to lead transformative efforts in downtown Laurel, Delaware, with a focus on attracting new commercial businesses and breathing new life into historic properties. One standout project is the rehabilitation of the former A&K Enterprises building on Central Avenue—now reimagined as Central Station.

This iconic structure has undergone a thoughtful renovation and will soon welcome Davelli’s Bagel Cafe as its newest tenant. The café, known for its fresh breakfast and lunch offerings—including bagels, sandwiches, and salads—marks an exciting addition to the community’s growing food scene.

“Expanding Davelli’s to Laurel, our hometown, will open up new opportunities to bring a fresh breakfast & lunch experience to the community,” shared owners Jeff Pruitt and Karen Schreiber. “We are excited for the opportunity to work closely with the Laurel Redevelopment Corporation on this new venture.”

The revitalization of Central Station reflects the LRC’s ongoing commitment to honoring Laurel’s rich history while paving the way for economic growth and a vibrant downtown experience.
